4th CAL - Question tags, echo questions...

I hope that after aaaall the exercises that we did in class you see it a bit clearer. Anyway I encourage you to take part in this little challenge. Try and create sentences using question tags or echo questions about the topic we are dealing with, that is about illness and treatment, first aid... Do you dare to start a discussion in this entry of the blog? Let's see who is "brave" enough... ;)

  1. You are kidding us, don't you? Let me see... You want that someone starting a discussion about first aid, or illness and treatment, dont' you?
O.K., in my opinion people waste a lot of time getting worried about their health. Of course to be in good health it's very important but we should avoid get obsessed by this matter.
I'm sure many of you agree with me, aren't you?

  2. I do agree with you, and you did very well with this comment using so many question tags! Congrats!! Just one little thing: the question tag is used with the "auxiliary verb" of the previous verb, have a look at your comment and let me know if you detect any mistake :) Thanks for your participation!

  3. In my opinion health is very important and to care your health is important to do exercise, don´t it? so, you must eat healthy food which help your body to be on fit.
maybe, your students eat cake in the breakfast, and they don´t exercise, do they?. This is a problem very common in society, so, teachers must to promote healthy habits, but we haven´t got time to do all things that society hope of us. But we try to do it, don´t we?

  4. Could be my first sentence? When I say "You are kidding us, don't you?", I shoud say: You are kidding us, are you?

  5. Ok, better, but remember that in question tags you have to make a negative if the sentence is positive and the other way round... And there is the same mistake in the other sentence: you agree, don't you? You need to use just the same auxiliary that you would use to make a normal question. I'll try and find some more practice for you to finally acquire the use of this new and bit difficult constractions... Thanks for participating!
