Reading reading reading (4th CAL)

Hi everyone!

as I told you in class, I will give you two options for the reading of this term:

- "The Testament" by John Grisham (Ed. Penguin Readers, Level 6)

"Nate O'Raley, a powerful lawyer, has serious personal problems. Then when Troy Phelan leaves his fortune to an unknown illegitimate daughter instead of his three ex-wives and their six children, it is Nate's responsibility to find her. His journey into the Pantanal wetlands of Brazil changes his life forever."

- "The Scarlet Letter" by Nathaniel Hawthrone (Ed. Black Cat, Step Five B2)

"Set in 17th-century Puritan Boston, Hester Prynne gives birth to an illegitimate child and is condemned to wear the scarlet letter ‘A’ as a sign of her adultery. Hester refuses to reveal the identity of her lover, and is forced to lead a life of humiliation. Meanwhile, Hester’s husband settles in Boston and after making her swear to keep his identity secret, tries to discover who Hester’s secret lover is.

Choose the one you prefer (adventure or love story), or both of them, and please read it during the following weeks. We will work on it two weeks after "Easter". Enjoy!!
